If any metal has been used in the construction of your roof it is important that you keep an eye out for any rust. This is again because it can make your roof much weaker.

Finally, you should make sure you regularly clean your gutters. By keeping them clean at allows them to do their intended job. If they become full they can collect moisture and spread this to your roof, causing lots of damage.
